Cowsmo Premium Organic Compost (CUFT Bag)
Cowsmo Compost has been the standard for quality for the last 20+ years. It is approved for all organic production. We make the compost from dairy manure on a blacktop surface using the windrow system. We monitor temperatures and turn the compost with a self-propelled compost turner. Once it no longer is heating to 130 degrees we pile it on a finished pile where it sits for another couple of months. This final curing process gives it the small particle size that rolls off the truck like little ball bearings.
The compost is made from manure rather than leaves and twigs. This gives the compost nutrients for crop growth unlike the leaf compost.
The compost is made on a blacktop surface which keeps sand and pests out of the compost. Compost made on dirt could get contaminated by jumping worms.
Cowsmo compost has no smell and is relatively weed free.
